Job Title Account Opening Associate

Job Description

Role Responsibilities:

1 Liaising with the sales teams, introducing brokers and foreign offices, in order to gather all relevant information and documentation to open new accounts in accordance with regulatory KYC requirements

2Primary responsibility is to provide support to Au, SG & Japan office from Sunday to Saturday between 11:30 pm to 8:30 am, 5.30 am- 2.30 pm for 5 days in a week.

3 Point of contact for all account setup queries resulting in regular contact with other departments in IG

4 Daily, weekly and monthly administrative checks to ensure all accounts are set up in accordance with in house procedures and FCA Regulations

5 Setting up and processing changes to introducer details

6Generating account opening letters for new clients

7Answering queries and assisting with disputes – Dealing with inter department queries both on the phone or via email

8 Maintaining procedure manuals and other documentation

9 Providing general support to the Institutional Account Setup Team Lead

10 Liaising outside of the department with colleagues to build a strong relationship with other departments

11 Procedural and technological changes in the team are fast moving, with constant yet practical deadlines to meet and ever-changing regulations and procedures

Person Specification:

Ability / Expertise

Essential:

1. At least 1 year working experience within customer onboarding and KYC & AML process

2. Attention to detail; meeting regular deadlines; taking ownership of assigned responsibilities

3. Strong team ethos

4. Proactive attitude in researching and resolving problems/issues

Desirable:

1 Literacy in Microsoft Office

2Showing initiative in identifying problems and posing solutions with a logical and analytical approach

3 Flexible to work in shifts and not standard hours and weekends.

4 Challenging mindset, uses training and experience to identify the need for change/improvement

5 Strong organisational and time management skills

6 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels of the organisation – both in writing and orally

7 Ability to cope well under pressure and adapt quickly to the ever changing environment

Qualifications

Essential:

§ Educated to A Level standard (or equivalent)

§ Fluency in Chinese & English (verbal and written)

Desirable:

§ Foreign language skills

§ University degree
